Established in 2002, Kausar College of Education is affiliated with University of Kashmir and is a premier College of Education provided Degree programs in B.Ed. The University of Kashmir came in to existence on 5th September 1969. Initially in 1948 it was the University of Jammu and Kashmir, primarily as an affiliating and examining body. However, the full-fledged University to sustain and enrich the ancient tradition of learning in Kashmir. Kausar College of Education follows the same learning and guiding principles ad University of Kashmir to spread the knowledge and education maintaining the high commitment of delivering the quality education.

    college authorities arranged an extension lecture on 19th of march 2011.Prof.Gurmeet kaur(Associate professor english Govt.college of education) delivered lecture on"OBJECTIVES OF TEACHING ENGLISH IN INDIA".Another expert was Prof. Manzoor Ahamad wazir(former H.O.D science,Govt.College of education)
delivered lecture on "Principles of lesson planning" and students actively interacted with an experts at the end of the lecture.

world plantation day
World plantation day was organised in the college premises on 22nd march 2011.students and staff members collectivelly planted saplings in the college lawn,worthy principal Mrs Sabia Mir also planted saplings on the Arbor day

5 WOMENS DAYS CELEBERATION

Kausar College of Education organized a seminar on women emancipation on 16th of March 2011. Members of the teaching faculty, students and guest speakers from adjacent colleges participated in the seminar. The seminar generated lot of interest among participants who appreciated the move of the college to organize such events in future as well. Empowerment of women should begin with measures to attract more girl students to education at primary level. The message of the seminar was that women need to get education to achieve self – realization. That is how women can be emancipated in real terms. Certificates of participation were given to participant after the conclusion of the event. The following four students were awarded with 1st , 2nd and 3rd positions.
